Young Artists in Israel
Haifa Ein Harod
1955

“Even in his earliest paintings inspired by motifs of the Israeli landscape some eight years ago, his ability was marked. In recent years the artist has discovered the world of the oriental communities, from which he adopts a wealth of compositions as well as solitary images. These paintings present the fantasies of an artist who knows how to integrate many themes and construct interesting links that are laid on the canvas in broad strokes. His paintings have been displayed in several group exhibitions and in a solo exhibition at Haifa’s Artists’ House. Here we have an aspiring young artist who is not satisfied with easy achievements but seeks solutions to his artistic quest. His desire is to create paintings derived from folklore and from faith, that reveal his own unique qualities.”
